Committee Chair - Alexa Taylor   lex2osu@gmail.com

"Our mission is to prepare all students to graduate with the knowledge

and skills to become productive and responsible citizens."

Nature and Purpose

The Rosemont Elementary School Site-Based Decision-Making (SBDM) Team was formed to fulfill the campus-level planning and decentralized, site-based decision-making requirements of the Texas Education Code. The purpose of the SBDM team is to improve the academic performance and well-being of all Rosemont students through the collaborative effort of teachers, administrators, parents and other members of the Rosemont community.

The SBDM team shall advise the Principal in the following areas: planning, budgeting, curriculum, staffing patterns, staff development, school organization and school safety. The SBDM team is limited to an advisory capacity in all areas except in the area of staff development.

The function of the SBDM Committee is to advise the principal in establishing the campus goals and plan for improvement. The SBDM committee serves as an advisory body, responsible for:

    • Establish campus goals and plans for the improvement of student performance and well- being through a campus needs assessment and performance data
    • Develop, review and revise the campus improvement plan
    • Provide input in the areas of curriculum, budget, school safety, school organization and staffing patterns
    • Approve campus-level staff development plans and the use of discretionary funds
